Parts of Speech

Parts of speech are words which have different purposes, or functions, in a sentence. There are seven parts of speech that should be recognized:

1.      Verb

2.      Noun

3.      Pronoun

4.      Preposition

5.      Adjective

6.      Adverb

7.      Conjunction
